March Break Travel Plans

Departing Campus

Students may plan to depart campus for the March break after their commitments on March 9th. School airport shuttles are scheduled to depart campus on the morning of March 10th. All airport shuttles will depart campus at 8:00am. Campus will be closed for the break at 12:00pm on March 10th.

Please note: the Manchester shuttle is set to arrive in Manchester by 9:30am, Manchester flights should be scheduled after 11:00am. The Boston shuttle is set to arrive in Boston by 10:00am, flights departing from Boston should be scheduled after 11:30am. Please fill in the information in the Travel Form tab and be sure to include details for the departing flight.

If your student does not require a school airport shuttle on March 10th, please indicate the date, person picking up the student and approximate departure time from campus.

Returning to Campus

Students may begin returning to campus at 12:00pm on march 28th. Dinner will be the first meal served on campus that day. All boarding students, arriving by car, are asked to return to campus by 7:00pm.

Students returning to campus via Dublin airport shuttle, should be aware of the following airport shuttle pick-up times. The Manchester shuttle will depart Manchester airport at 5:30pm. Students planning to use this shuttle should have flight arrival time before 5:00pm. The Logan/Boston airport shuttle will depart Logan airport at 6:30PM. Students planning to use this shuttle should have flight arrival time before 5:45pm. Pickup locations and pick up vehicle information will be emailed prior to the return to school day.

Travel Information 2022-2023

Dublin School does its best to help manage the process of getting students to and from campus during regularly scheduled breaks throughout the year. It is critical that breaks be made in accordance with the school calendar. Exceptions must be discussed with the Dean of Students with as much advance notice as possible. Absences due to late arrivals or early departures from breaks are subject to standard disciplinary actions as detailed in the Academic Program section of the handbook. Travel costs will be charged to the student’s account and parents should plan accordingly when budgeting for the student’s account.

The School provides transportation to the two major airports in the area, Manchester and Boston, for departure and return from most academic breaks during the year. The school, in most cases, is not able to support students traveling as unaccompanied minors.

For our families in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas, we had hoped that Concord Coach Lines would be resuming their service from midtown Manhattan to southern New Hampshire (possibly Nashua, Londonderry, or Concord) last year, to date this has not yet happened. If this service resumes, the school will offer a shuttle to and from a designated bus station. This is a situation that we are closely monitoring. If this service becomes available, we will add the shuttle schedule and instructions for booking with Concord Coach Lines to this page.

Other travel arrangements can be made at the discretion of the Dean of Students, it may be possible for a ride to be shared if there are multiple passengers. In some circumstances, faculty members may be available to drive students individually or in small groups. Transportation may include local travel to medical appointments, bus or train station, as well as the two airports during non-shuttle times.
