· SENIOR PARENTS: This year we hope to pilot a step that we have felt to be important for several years, and that is to have seniors attend and lead the discussion in the conferences with their parents and advisors. Because students will be involved in programming for much of the day on Friday, we recommend scheduling your advisor conferences for Thursday or Saturday so that your senior may attend and participate.
Having seniors discuss their own learning, challenges, growth goals is in line with our mission, our transfer goals of reflection, self-awareness, communication, and engagement, and our scope and sequence goals for seniors of increasing independence and leadership in their own education. We hope you will enjoy this and have productive conversations. If for any reason you do not feel this will be a positive experience, please let Aimee Lord know.
· Since there is no built-in time between conferences, we suggest you do not schedule back-to-back conference times with your child’s teachers.
· If you are interested in scheduling a conference with our Dean of Students and Belonging, Lisa Muñoz, or Director of Enrollment Management, Jackie Kenney, please reach out to them individually, and they will set up a time to meet.
