Wellness Tip of the Week: listen to Doechii

The last DubWell Committee meeting of the year will happen next Tuesday, May 13th. This is a chance for students to give feedback and voice their thoughts and suggestions for next year's health and wellness program.

Third, the DubWell Student Advocate selection process for next year begins today! Here is the information:

DubWell Student Advocate 2025-2026


Responsibilities:  

-Dedicate at least one free block per week to health and wellness endeavors in collaboration with the DubWell Team (the Nurses, the Wellness Coordinator, the Adolescent Counselor, and the Athletic Trainer).

-Attend DubWell Team and Committee meetings.

-Actively identify and communicate about health and wellness areas of interest and concern among the student body with the DubWell Team (the Nurses, the Wellness Coordinator, the Adolescent Counselor, and the Athletic Trainer), including the DubWell Tip of the Week.

-Participate in health and wellness education initiatives and programming, including design and maintenance of the bulletin board and creation of a welcoming atmosphere in the Health Center.

-Actively collaborate with the DubWell Team (the Nurses, the Wellness Coordinator, the Adolescent Counselor, and the Athletic Trainer) to increase student awareness and usage of health and wellness resources on campus.


Application process:   Any returning student may apply. Applications are due Monday, May 12.


1. Submit a letter of interest.

2. Submit a nomination from a faculty member.

3. Sit for an interview with a member of the DubWell Team.

Last but not least, as May is Mental Health Awareness Month, the DubWell Tip of the Week is the website Anxiety is Watching Me created by the Grammy Award-winning rapper/artist Doechii who is very open about her struggles with anxiety. The site is a resource hub for connection and mental health tools.
