Wellness Tip of the Week: Gym Rules

The DubWell Tip of the Week, as Harper and Christian outlined at Morning Meeting, are a few rules for us all to follow to ensure safe and effective use of the weight room. If you have any questions about any of them, please reach out to Mr. Peyton-Levine, Ms. J., me, or the soon-to-be Weight Room Supervisors, and many thanks for your cooperation!

Weight Room Rules 2024-2025

  • Clean up and put away any used equipment. Close windows and turn off lights if you are the last to leave.

  • Wipe down equipment after each use. 

  • NO food or drinks other than water in the weight room!

  • Share the space! We have limited space and equipment, so may have to let other students “work in” when you are in between sets. 

  • No horseplay, pushing, or distracting another student or adult while they are lifting or using equipment!

  • No one-rep maxing! 

  • You must use spotters and set up the weight rack accordingly for free-lifting stations:  squatting, overhead press, bench press, etc.

  • You must wear close-toed shoes!
