Snowboarding - Coach Phinney & Coach Davis

Coaches Awards

Tyreis Morris '25 and Hunter Maguy '25

For their leadership as team captains, their enthusiasm for the sport, their dedication to individual improvement, their efforts in team competitions, their instruction and mentorship of younger riders, and the meaningful growth both have shown as riders over their Dublin careers, this year’s Coaches’ Awards go to Tyreis Morris and Hunter Maguy.

Alpine - Coach Eneguess, Coach Thorpe & Coach Saveliev

Most Improved (Boys):

  • Kodai Goodrow '25
  • "Kodai came in with the energy and mindset of a true athlete—“Gimme that gear and let’s get on with it!” From the magic carpet to the alpine slopes, Kodai embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and a can-do attitude."

Most Improved (Girls):

  • Fabi B. '26

Coaches Award (Boys):

  • Wynn B. '26
  • "Wynn is the definition of resilience and growth. Coming back from a life-altering injury, he arrived tough, determined, and carrying a fire within—but beneath it all was a soft heart and a deep desire to ski race."

Most Competitive:

  • "Through relentless hard work and a desire to improve, Sarah not only broke into the competitive scene but also mastered the demanding art of turn control and edge stability."

Most Valuable Skier:

  • Elias S. '26

Boys Basketball - Coach Clyburn

Most Improved:

  • Oliver R. '26
  • "The first time I played basketball with this person, they ran in circles around the court. This showed me a couple of things: they had no basketball IQ and were willing to work hard to gain it and develop their skill, and he did exactly that."

Coaches Award:

  • Darrien Espinal '25
  • "Team first, always brought energy, and was brought into what it was that we were trying to implement as a program. Had every reason to give up, but never did, Coach's Award, Darien Espinal."

Most Valuable Player:

  • Larry Simpkins '25
  • "The MVP isn't up for discussion. Showed extreme growth throughout the year in coachability, and ability to play within a system while still being effective and impacting the game in a way that was undeniable to everyone watching, MVP Larry Simpkins."
