Grandparents Day!

Grandparents Day was this past Wednesday!

We had record turn-out this year, welcoming around forty sets of grandparents, with some joining for a virtual Zoom session with Head of School Brad Bates.

On Wednesday, Grandparents had the chance to explore campus with their student, attend class, meet with Head of School Brad Bates, and enjoy a meal in the Brett Smith ’88 Dining Commons. The weather was Empyreal, one of the first true spring days of the year. Like Parents’ Weekend and other occasions that bring visitors to campus, Grandparents Day allows us to step back and appreciate our work. It’s like when you’re pressed up close to a canvas, notching individual brush strokes. You’re caught up in the particularities of the act. It’s only with the interruption of a visitor that you finally step back to appreciate what these individual strokes create, see the full picture. We love sharing our campus with visitors, and are so thankful to all who were able to make it this past Wednesday.

Photos from the day are being processed and will be shared next week.

Thank you to Aimee Lord for her work organizing the day!
