Charlie G. '28 Breaks the Record for Most Points Scored in an Ultimate Season!

Charlie G., a sophomore here at Dublin, just finished a remarkable season by breaking the school record for most goals scored in a single year. Previous to his 41 goals, the record was 38, held by Connor R. '24. He had never played ultimate before coming to Dublin, a testament to his consistent effort, a willingness to learn, and a drive to get better all the time. He quickly rose to become one of the top players on the team. This is a wonderful demonstration of how Dublin helps students find new passions and excel at things they never would have otherwise tried.

All season long, Charlie averaged four goals a game, playing deep on offense and deep‑deep on defense. This involved more running than anyone else on the field, but he was up for the challenge. His signature neon green football gloves became part of his identity and, according to him, part of his success. He also built strong chemistry with Finn, and the two connected for countless big plays throughout the year.

In the SENE championship, Charlie delivered one of his strongest performances. He recorded multiple blocks, scored three points, and made a leaping catch while being fouled. This moment encapsulated the hard-working, skilled, and dedicated player Charlie had developed into this year. His record‑breaking season is truly impressive. This is a testament to his hard work and shows off the Dublin Difference!
