Our new crew home is finished. The Steele Boathouse was built this winter on beautiful Thorndike Pond. We have built this in a partnership with Camp Wanocksett, a Boyscout camp that has been nestled between Mt. Monadnock and Thorndike Pond since 1924.
The basement level was designed to accommodate racing shells from singles up to eights. The upper level has storage, a main function and training room and a deck overlooking the race finish area of the pond. There is also integrated storage for the Boyscout's canoeing program.
We are thrilled to finally have a facility that reflects the nationally recognized success of our crew program and can't wait to fill it with endurance athletes.
