In a recent morning meeting, Jan Haman emphasized the important role that grandparents play in the lives of so many of our students and their families. This statement came to life on Wednesday, April 13th, when many grandparents poured onto our campus, demonstrating both their pride in their grandchildren and their support of their education at Dublin.
After a Q&A session with Mr. Bates and a slideshow, our guests were able to sit in on a long class, to see first-hand the kinds of courses their grandchildren are taking. Having grandparents in classes "was great fun," in the words of one teacher, particularly in the sense that they were able to add unique and enriching perspectives to many of the discussions. We hope that sharing a learning experience has created a new bond between grandparents and their grandchildren.
We were glad to welcome every one of these grandparents into our community, and hope that many of them will be able to join us for Mayfair later this spring.
