M.A. French Literature, M.A. Spanish Literature
Born in Nashville, I grew up in the south and midwest before moving to New Hampshire in 2002 with my husband, Zachary, and daughter, Stella. My son, Wyatt was born during our first year at Dublin. I had been working at Dublin School for five years when my husband's career took us to New York, where we lived for the last eight years. I am happy to be back!
What book has made you think the most? Most books make me think quite a bit, but, most recently, Farewell, Fred Voodoo: A Letter from Haiti by Amy Wilentz has made me ponder.
What teacher has had the greatest impact on you? Why were they special? I lived at my high school biology teacher's house with his wife and him for most of my senior year, and they treated me with great understanding and compassion, while providing me with structure and discipline.
How would your friends describe you in three words? Honest, hard-working, and independent.
What is your favorite course you have taken in high school or college? Classes comparing literature and film were my favorites.
What is your favorite place on campus and why? My new favorite place on campus is New Dorm, which is my new home and has a spectacular view!
I am most happy when... I am relaxing with friends and family.
What mistake have you made that ended up leading to a positive outcome? Leaving Dublin eight years ago always felt like a mistake, but my family and I have all learned and grown from our time in New York.
If I had a free afternoon I would... work out, read a book, and watch a movie.
What is your favorite outdoor activity? Running/hiking.
