Clark, Stephanie

Athletic Trainer

Keene State College 2011

Originally from Lowell MA. Most of my life I grew up in Londonderry NH with my two younger sisters and my mom and dad. After High school, I went to Keene State College, there I fell in love with the human body and Athletic Training. Once I graduated I needed to get out of New England and wanted to see different parts of the country. So I applied for internships in Florida, Colorado, and California.

I ended up in Florida at a Division I school called Florida Gulf Coast University. A one year internship quickly turned into two years. While I was down there I worked with the Womans Soccer Team, and we won the conference championship, we made it to the NCAA's in our first year as being an NCAA Division 1 program. It was very exciting. Then, the second year I was there I worked with the Woman's Swimming and Diving Team, another team that won the conference championship. I also worked with the cross country team, cheerleaders, and worked closely with the Basketball team. The second year I was there the basketball team made it to the sweet 16 in the march madness tournament. That was such an adventure.

Although Florida was sunny and warm, and the beaches were some of the best I have ever seen, I decided it was a better place to visit than to live. Being a true New England girl, I moved back to NH, and have been happy with my decision. I like being closer to my family and I think there is nothing better than New England in the fall. I still would like to travel and see/ work in other parts of the country and the world.

What book has made you think the most? Daring Grately by Berne Brown. Its a very empowering book.

What teacher has had the greatest impact on you? Why were they special? Dr. Swiger, she sought out the potential I had, and encouraged me to be great.

How would your friends describe you in three words? Caring, loving, funny

What is your favorite place on campus and why? I like the swing by the school house. It's a nice place to sit, reflects and observe the wonderful surroundings of dublin, including the students.

I am most happy when... When I have time to slow down, be with my family or friends and just relax.

What is your favorite outdoor activity? I love the outdoors, I love to hike and recently I have tried Nordic skiing ( when in Rome) and have really enjoyed it. I also love the beach, the sounds and the smells bring me back to such a wonderful time in my life.
