BS- Castleton University- Athletic Training,
MS University of Wisconsin-La Crosse- Human Performance
I grew up in the Catskills of NY and did my undergraduate work in Vermont so I have had an affinity for being outdoors most of my life. Whether I was hiking, playing sports, running, biking, climbing, skiing, I love being outside. What a perfect place for me to be but Dublin School in such a great outdoor setting. I have had the privilege to work in the high school setting for over 20 years as an athletic trainer and 13 of those years in the boarding school setting. I'm happy to be a part of this small tight knit community and continue working with adolescent athletes and students to help them achieve the best they can be.
What book has made you think the most? Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. This book is an amazing journey of the human spirit and how sometimes it overtakes logic. It also goes in depth with the collaboration you need to have with others to achieve a goal but also at the same time to understand and know that failure it okay but you need to be logical and smart about what risks you take to achieve your goals.
What is your favorite course you have taken in high school or college? White Water Rafting, yes, that was a course at Castleton when I went there, although I really enjoy learning and so many courses I can say are my favorite I was lucky enough to take a course where we learned about whitewater and got to use kayaks in the pool and then went on a rafting trip to end the class.
I am most happy when... I am hiking to a beautiful peak with amazing views at the top and waterfalls running down when you are hiking up. You can't beat nature and all it's glory.
If I had a free afternoon I would... Spend more time with my daughter watching her play sports and traveling with her to fun places.
