Equestrian
Equestrian competes under the New Hampshire High School Equestrian Team organization (NHHSET) in District #1, competing with local high schools including ConVal Regional High School, Monadnock Regional High School and Hillsboro-Deering High School.
NHHSET competition is a spring sport. The team participates in three Southwest district shows; from there any riders who qualify individually will proceed to the NHHSET State meet at the end of the season in May. Students compete at district meets in walk-trot, walk-trot-canter, team classes and in-hand classes. Classes are offered in English, western, dressage, jumping, trail and timed-games on horseback.
The equestrian program at Dublin School can accommodate riders at all levels from novice to advanced. The program is run in concert with the Temple Hills Equestrian Center under the supervision of a certified riding instructor and trainer. Riders are paired with horses that are compatible with their riding ability.
We have lessons/riding three days per week coupled with two work days at the barn. Students groom and tack the horses they ride and clean up after themselves. They are expected to help out with daily chores such as feeding, watering, and sweeping when they finish riding.
Congratulations to the Dublin Equestrian Show Team! Caroline Robbins and Mia Brady were 3rd and 4th over all in their respective classes, for State Finals!!!
NHHSET (New Hampshire High School Equestrian Team) has 21 High Schools in the state that have equestrian teams, divided in four different districts. Dublin School is in District 1 (with Conval, Monadnock, and Hillsboro-Deering). District 1 was the overall High Point District with total points!!! Great job team! Just to put this in prospective, District 1 is the smallest district in the state and Dublin School is the smallest team in NHHSET. That makes this extra special!!!
Congratulations to the entire Equestrian Team for a great season and thank you to everyone on the team for always being their to help and support each other!!! Also, a shout-out to Ms Rabb for her outstanding job as horse show announcer (including the state finals)!!!! Thank you and great job to the entire team!
Great show Saturday in New Boston! The Dublin Team all rode really well! and Mia Bradywon her jumping class and Caroline Robbins was second and third in her jumping classes. Caroline and Mia both did great in their 2 Under Saddle classes (walk, trot, canter), placing first and second in one class and second and third in the other! Ann Ratta was amazing in her dressage classes as was Emily Field in her Western classes. Armaan, Alissa and Emily rode fantastic in the barrel racing and other "game" competitions. The Dublin horses were great and helped their rider teammates have a awesome day!!!
In addition to great equestrians, a huge thank you to Ms. Rabb and Ms. Burkhardt! M.s Rabb was the Horse Show announcer for the day and Ms. Burkhardt did a variety of volunteer jobs for most of the day. Thank you to both of them!!!!!
