The Wildcats were able to put all of the pieces together for the final game of the season as they traveled to Cushing Academy on Thursday. With one of the most complete performances of the year, Dublin possessed the ball with consistency and defended with tenacity en route to a 14-3 victory. Every player who was dressed for the game saw field time in the second half, including sophomore goalie Nick Caesar-Kim, who replaced senior captain Arthur Garcia at halftime. Dublin goal scorers included senior captain Kyle Mincey, seniors Max Johnson (4) and Wyatt Hodgkins, juniors Dereck Elmera (3) and Isaac Espada, sophomore Isaac Callaghan, and freshmen Freeman Johnson and Salah Maalim (2).
The Dublin boys' lacrosse team was able to send their seniors out with a win during the final home game of the season. Despite NMH jumping out to an early lead, Dublin showed resilience by being methodical and persistent in the offensive end of the field. The Wildcats were able to solve NMH's strong goaltending and score enough second-half goals to pull away from the Hoggers and win by a final score of 8-6. The Dublin boys' lacrosse team was able to complete their season sweep of Putney School with a 6-3 road win on Monday. Despite the wet and cold weather, the boys banded together and took advantage of their opportunities while again limiting Putney's top offensive threats. Goals were scored by senior captains Kyle Mincey (3) and Ian Baker, senior Max Johnson, and junior Dereck Elmera. The team looks forward to their final week of practice and games, with upcoming regular season contests scheduled against NMH and Cushing, before finishing the season with the annual Mike Walter alumni game.
The Dublin boys' lacrosse team came out firing on Saturday as they cruised ahead to an early lead against rival Putney and never looked back. The offense was unselfish and shared the ball in order to find the best looks available before taking shots. The defense was stout, and was able to neutralize Putney's top shooters and playmakers. Dublin goals were scored by senior captain Kyle Mincey (2), senior Max Johnson (2), junior Dereck Elmera (3), and freshmen Freeman Johnson (2) and Salah Maalim. Senior goaltender Arthur Garcia finished the day with seven saves in net.
Dublin was able to defend their home turf against visiting Tilton on Wednesday. A re-focused sense of defensive pride and offensive execution after Monday's loss to Eagle Hill primed the Wildcats for a strong start to the contest. Junior Dereck Elmera played an excellent game at the faceoff x, winning a high percentage of the game's draws. A slow start led to the Dublin boys' lacrosse team digging themselves a hole out of which they were unable to climb against Eagle Hill on Monday. Eagle Hill capitalized on their opportunities early and were able to build a sizable lead in the first half of play. Dublin started to find the back of the net during the second half, but it proved to be too little too late. The Dublin School boys' lacrosse team traveled to Holderness on a beautiful Saturday afternoon to play a skilled and experienced Bulls team. Despite a split record with Holderness over the past couple of years, the Bulls were too much for the Wildcats in this particular match up, and the boys ended up on the losing end of a 9-4 game. Bright spots included goals by senior captain Kyle Mincey, junior Dereck Elmera (2), and freshman Freeman Johnson.
