For the third consecutive year, the boy's lacrosse team took down the alumni team.

Boys Lacrosse vs. Cushing Academy JV - Win (13-1) - May 18, 2018

The Dublin boys' lacrosse team wrapped up their season with a convincing win over Cushing JV on Friday. The Wildcats were able to put together a performance that displayed the culmination of their efforts throughout the two-month long season.

Dublin jumped out and scored four quick, unanswered goals right off the bat. Sophomore Dereck Elmera had a dominant day at the faceoff x, only losing a small hand full of draws throughout the contest. Senior goalies Aidan Carter and Josh Hochberg split time in net, and along with the stout Dublin defense, they were able to hold Cushing to a single goal.

Midway through the second quarter, Dublin's reserve players started to see significant minutes, and by the end of the game, almost all starters had been replaced by younger, less experienced teammates. The sportsmanship on the field was solid, and it was a great way to send out Dublin's graduating senior class.

Boys Lacrosse vs. Northfield Mount Hermon JV - Win (6-5 3 OT) - May 16, 2018

The Dublin boys' lacrosse team took on an unfamiliar opponent when they played Northfield Mount Hermon JV on Wednesday. Despite the relative proximity of the two schools, Dublin and NMH had not been matched up for several years. The contest was worth the wait, and when all was said and done, three overtime periods were needed to determine a sudden-death winner. After a long, grinding, up and down game, Dublin was able to secure the victory and defend their home turf of Memorial Field with honor.

Boys Lacrosse vs. Eagle Hill School - Win (9-7) - May 12, 2018

The boys picked up a much-needed win versus Eagle Hill on Saturday. Despite a bit of a sloppy performance, the Wildcats were able to dig deep and retain a lead throughout most of the game. As the game progressed, Eagle Hill found itself in the penalty box more than they would've liked, and Dublin was able to possess the ball and capitalize on the presented opportunities.

Junior Ian Baker and sophomore Dereck Elmera had a solid day at the faceoff x, winning many of the draws. Goals were scored by senior captain Fab Joseph (three), senior Jacob Horowitz (five), and junior Kyle Mincey. Seniors Aidan Carter and Josh Hochberg split time in net and finished with five saves collectively.

Boys Lacrosse vs. Tilton School JV - Loss (6-8) - May 9, 2018

The Dublin boys' lacrosse team let one slip away on Wednesday when they lost to Tilton 8-6. Despite jumping out to an early lead, Dublin's sluggish stick skills and lack of willingness to compete for ground balls let Tilton back into the game. Defensively, the Wildcats struggled to slide effectively, and let Tilton ball carriers find lanes that should've been closed.

Bright spots for Dublin included goals scored by senior Jacob Horowitz (two), juniors Wyatt Hodgkins (two) and Ian Baker, and sophomore Dereck Elmera. Senior Josh Hochberg made three saves in net.

Boys Lacrosse vs. Holderness School JV - Loss (3-10) - May 5, 2018

The boys were challenged by a strong Holderness team this Saturday on Memorial Field. As is generally the case, the more developed stick skills of the Holderness squad were a key factor in their victory, and Dublin trailed by a widening margin as the game progressed.

Despite the final score, Dublin played with admirable effort and sportsmanship, and represented the school honorably in the face of adversity. Goal scorers included senior captain Fab Joseph, senior Jacob Horowitz, and junior Ian Baker. Baker also had a solid day at the faceoff x, winning seven draws and getting a handful of ground balls.

Senior goalie Josh Hochberg had a strong first start in net, finishing the day with ten saves.

Boys Lacrosse vs. Cardigan Mountain School - Win - April 28, 2018

The Dublin School boys' lacrosse team came away with its first victory of the season as it hosted Cardigan Mountain School (CMS) on Saturday.  CMS has an extensive lacrosse program and fields solid teams throughout its program.

Dublin was in the driver's seat most of the way and was able to sustain some solid offensive possession which led to good ball movement and shooting opportunities. Dublin was also able to play many of its reserves, giving field time to several first-time players such as freshmen Exavion Clerveau, Isaac Callaghan, and Lawrence Chen.

Goal scorers included senior captain Fab Joseph (1), senior Jacob Horowitz (3), juniors Ian Baker (2) and Kyle Mincey (1), and sophomore Nate Gryczka (1). Senior goaltender Aidan Carter made six saves in a solid outing between the pipes.

Boys Lacrosse vs. Stratton Mountain School - Loss (4-18) - April 27, 2018

Dublin girls had their annual tilt against Stratton Mountain School (SMS) on Friday afternoon. As a ski academy, SMS always has a stable of gifted and well-conditioned athletes and the games are a good test of our aerobic and lacrosse talent. The Dublin boys' lacrosse team struggled to compete in an 18-4 loss.

Costly penalties and poor shooting by Dublin led to numerous opportunities for Stratton, many of which were buried in the back of the net.  Despite a solid effort throughout the game, Dublin was outclassed and unable to stem the tide of the offensive firepower of SMS. Juniors Ian Baker and Wyatt Hodgkins each accounted for two goals a piece. Sophomore Aidan Carter made five saves in net.
