A one-of-a-kind Prom!

I love the Dublin School tradition that every student attends our annual prom. Most of the faculty and staff attend and many help with driving the students to the venue. I had a great time at the prom Friday night and made sure I left before I had a chance to embarrass anyone with my dancing skills (or lack thereof). According to one veteran teacher this year’s prom was the best they had seen in their twenty years at Dublin. While the music received mixed reviews, the number of students on the dance floor at any given time was impressive!

Our prom is unique in that most students do not go with a “date,” but instead go with a friend or group of friends. Even students who told me they were nervous about going told me they had a great time. The prom starts in the Fountain Arts Building where the students gather for refreshments and endless photo sessions with Mr. Imhoff. From the FAB the students are driven to the off campus prom venue where they are greeted with cotton candy and Shirley Temples--nothing like a little sugar to get things going! Once inside, the students take advantage of another photo session in the photo booth before eating dinner and dancing. Thank you to the prom committee for organizing a great evening and thank you to Peter Imhoff for the stunning photos! You can find more photos here: https://dublinschoolnh.smugmug.com/
