In the Class C NEPSAC Championship races the top five boys and girls from eleven schools including Dublin School, Ethel Walker School, Pingree, New Hampton, Worcester Academy, Wilbraham and Monson Academy, Bancroft, Bradford Christian School, Gunnery, Cushing Academy and Vermont Academy competed in both slalom and GS at Wachusett Mountain. Dublin’s preparation and training showed great results winning podium finishes in both classes with the girls placing third overall and the boys placing second overall. In the boys' competition, Pingree came in first and Worcester Academy finished third. In the girls' competition, Ethel Walker placed first and Pingree came in second.
Dublin Wildcat’s Mya Kerwin (Hancock, NH) won the giant slalom and came in second in the slalom. Ann Ratta (East Kingston, NH) was 17th for GS and 18th in slalom. Laura Coffin (Keene, NH) was 26th in GS and 21st in slalom. Faith Lewis (Bennington, NH) was 36th in GS and 32rd in slalom. Maddy Pelissier (North Dighton, MA) disqualified in GS but finished 34th in slalom.
On the Dublin boys's side, Silas Howe (Amherst, NH) finished 4th in GS and 12th in slalom. Sean Brown (Hampton Falls, NH) was 10th in GS and 8th in slalom. Reed Brencher (Killingworth, CT) was 13th in GS and 10th in slalom. Colin Brown (Hampton Falls, NH) was 19th in GS and 21st in slalom. Nick Runyon (Peterborough, NH) captured 22nd in GS and 20th in slalom.
Racers competed after an early departure under sunny skies with warm temperatures. The team scores of a second and a third were fantastic producing smiles on all as they fit their trophies into the bus on the way back to Dublin.
