Dublin Skiers Find Speed in Craftsbury

Five Dublin School skiers headed to Craftsbury, Vermont for some fun spring racing on Sunday with High Performance Team coach Kathy Maddock. Ninth grader Clint Macy had a strong qualifier and ended up in the consolation “King’s Court” competition where he ended up in second place! Juniors Aaro Virtanen and Quinn Wilson snuck into the top twenty in the qualifying round before going on to finish fifth and fourth respectively in their strong quarterfinal heats. Junior Agnes Macy and Senior Lilly Bates qualified for and ended up in the same quarterfinal where they finished sixth and fifth respectively. Alumnus Calvin Bates ‘17 won his semifinal and then unfortunately broke his pole in the final and finished 6th. Finally, Coach Kathy won the masters division of the classic sprint on Saturday! It was a fun day all around and great to see our friends from other schools and clubs.
