Dublin earned the River Valley Athletic League trophy once again. In Championship play, Dublin gave up one goal over two games and stifled both Putney School and Eagle Hill School on the way to reclaiming the cup.
vs. Putney School - Win 13-0
The boys earned a shutout win against Putney School in the first of two RVAL tournament games. Great ball movement and strong, deliberate dodges were the most obvious and consistent characteristics of Dublin's offensive game. Our defense was able to stifle any transition or settled offensive attempts by Putney, and most of their possessions were short lived.
Goal scorers included seniors Ben Simon (4) and Cam Harrington (3), juniors Fab Joseph (1) and Joe Dupont-Roche (2), sophomore Kyle Mincey (1), and freshman Dereck Elmera (2). Sophomore Idriss Traore and junior Aidan Carter made a combined four saves in net.
vs. Eagle Hill School - Win 9-1
In our second RVAL tournament game, the boys nearly earned another shutout, beating Eagle Hill by a score of 9-1. We were exceptionally effective in the clearing and riding game, moving the ball up the field with ease and disrupting Eagle Hill when they tried to do the same. Dublin was also able to have yet another game with minimal penalty minutes, which shows the level of effort and sportsmanship possessed by our players.
