Girls Lacrosse vs. Putney School - Win (14-1) - April 28, 2017

Girls took on RVAL rival Putney School before a big Putney Parents weekend crowd.  In a repeat of earlier in the week, Dublin’s starting players completely dominated the first part of the game, scoring their first goal in the initial 17 seconds of the game.  Center midfielder Stella Davis (Dublin, NH) again controlled the face-off circle, leading to one goal 5 seconds after the draw.  The defense of Shaneil Wynter (Brooklyn, NY), Diamond Miller (Parsippany, NJ), Somali Green (New York, NY) and Destiny Goncalves (Brockton, MA) closed aggressively on the few Putney intrusions, limiting Putney to 6 shots on goal.

As in recent games, a lot of newer players got extensive playing time, furthering their development. Freshman Gabby Quintero (Union , NJ) building on improving play, scored her first lacrosse goal.  Diamond Miller scored on a rush from the defensive zone.  Other Dublin scorers: Sabrina Hayden (Marlborough, NH) 5G,1A; Aggie Macy (Dublin, NH) 3G; Bette Imhoff (Dublin, NH) 2G, 2A; Stella Davis (Dublin, NH) 2g, 1A; and Brianna Moore (Irvington, NJ) 1G. Goalies Amani Natson (Hillside, NJ) and Caitlin Hegarty (Durham, NH) split time and made 3/2 saves respectively.
