Dublin travelled to Brewster Academy on Saturday to play the Brewster JV. Weather was again less than ideal with 45 degree fog blowing off Lake Winnipesaukee. With a number of girls away with other conflicts and a game finishing 18 hours before, this was the ideal setting for a let-down game. Instead the team came out on fire, scoring four goals in the first 3:30 of the game. Aggie Macy (Dublin, NH) dominated the draw early leading to multiple Dublin scoring chances. Defense played very well as Dublin took the shutout well into the second half before giving up a couple of goals late.
In the second half and with a sizable lead, many of the players were rotated to play unfamiliar positions. As a result, normal defender Somali Green (New York, NY) played up on offensive and had an impressive rip for a score. First year player, Robyn McIntosh (Chelsea, Quebec) found that elusive first goal and was mobbed by her teammates. Fellow first year player, Celeste Hopson (Newark, NJ) played some exceptional positional defense. Dublin scoring: Bette Imhoff (Dublin, NH) 6G, 2A; Aggie Macy (Dublin, NH), Adunni Abrams (Brooklyn, NY) 2G; Brianna Moore (Irvington, NJ) 1G, 1A; Robyn McIntosh (Chelsea, Quebec) 1G; and Somali Green (New York, NY) 1G. Goalies Amani Natson (Hillside, NJ) and Caitlin Hegarty (Durham, NH) split time and made 6/3 saves respectively.
