Brewster Academy hosted Dublin School, Vermont Academy, Holderness School, Kimball Union Academy (KUA), Saint Paul’s School, New Hampton School, and Proctor Academy.
A bluebird day and temperatures in the 50s made for challenging terrain for the giant slalom race that took many racers out in the second run. Rolling terrain made for a great race with significant difficulty for those not on their game.
Silas Howe led the Wildcat boys in seventh place with Sean Brown, back in the teens due to some difficulty in the steep part of the coarse. The rest of the boys, Reed Brencher, Nick Runyon, Peter Spang, William Boot and Henry Leuttgen skied well and were competitive with good finishes throughout.
Mya Kerwin and Ann Ratta were sidelined with past injury’s, but were on the course helping with course reports for the other girls. Laura Coffin, Caitlin Hegarty finishing in the top twenty five. New to competition, Madeleine Pelisier in her ski racing debut completed both runs. It was a good day for all.
