The Dublin Alpine ski team came off of vacation a day early from all over New England in order to compete in Slalom Races against St. Paul, Holderness, Brewster, Vermont Academy, New Hampton, Kimball Union and Dublin. The races were hosted by Proctor Academy for the NEPSAC Slalom Championships.
For the girls: Mari Nakamura St. Paul first, Stina Langenius Kimball Union, second and Ellie Neel third St. Paul. Dublin's Laura Coffin (Keene, NH) fighting the flu was thirty-second and Caitlin Hegarty (Durham, NH) took thirty-third.
For the Boys: Holderness Geoff West took first place, followed by Brewster’s Dexter Hanson and again Brewster took third by Max McDonald. Dublin’s Silas Howe (Amherst, NH) had two solid runs coming in fourteenth, Sean Brown (Hampton Falls, NH) followed in twenty-second with some trouble in the second run, Reed Brencher (Killingworth, CT) was twenty-third, Nick Runyon (Peterborough, NH) thirty-second, Peter Spang (South Hamilton, MA), thirty ninth and Will Boot (Larchmont, NY), who flew in from rest period to race came in fourty-fourth.
Dublin WildCats are looking forward to having everyone on board and healthy for the NEPSAC Slalom and Giant Slalom Championships at Wachusett Mountain in Princeton Massachusetts on February 15, 2017.
Weather, injury and the flu took toll on the Dublin Alpine team this week.
