Cal Butler '07 is a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc. in Washington, D.C. He works on the Air Force's Invisible Wounds Initiative, which seeks to improve perceptions of treatments for PTSD. He was recently interviewed by the Milla Hispanic Leadership forum for his immigration advocacy and counter-terrorism experience. He graduated from George Washington University with a degree in International Affairs in 2013.
On his time at the Dublin School, Cal says "Dublin is a unique place that brings different parts of the world to a tiny campus. It was the opportunity of a lifetime." He grew as a performer, a sportsman, and a leader while at Dublin, having participated in drama, sailing, and student government. Cal was inspired by his Spanish teacher, Mr. Lowenthal, to travel throughout Latin America. He has returned to many times for international projects in counter-narcotics and international development.
He hopes that Dublin students will take advantage of the experiences, language, and culture of their international friends as much as possible, while doing their best to represent American culture well; having a global perspective will serve them well in life."
