Vermont Academy hosted KUA, Cardigan and Dublin School at Okemo Mountain Resort.
KUA girls swept the podium finishing 1-2-3. Top Dublin skier, Mya Kerwin (Hancock, NH) had major trouble in her first run and was almost out but managed to finish her first run, keeping her in contention. Despite her early trouble, Mya nailed her second finishing fourth overall for the day. Other top finishers for Dublin were Laura Coffin (Keene, NH) in ninth and Caitlin Hegarty (Durham, NH) grabbing a fourteenth.
On the boys side, the KUA team again placed high with a 1-2 finish. Silas Howe (Amherst, NH) tied for fifth followed by Sean Brown (Hampton Falls, NH) in eighth. Hampered by some soft tissue problems in his left knee from weekend inter-school hockey fun, Reed Brencher (Killingworth, CT) was still able to rally and grab 16th, followed by Peter Spang (South Hamilton, MA) 18th fresh on his second week with the alpine team after moving over from snowboarding. Henry Luettgen pulled in as the 24thh finisher, with two very respectable runs, while Okemo Mountain took out Nick Runyon and William Boot, who were unable to finish the rutted giant slalom course to be disqualified.
