Playing our fourth game in five days and after a 2 ½ hour drive to Northern NH, we came out of the box a little slow. White Mountain School scored quickly and then again before we could even get the ball over mid-field. We countered but an athletic White Mountain team continued to penetrate and control the ball and the lead. When we switched Stella Davis onto the draw, we found stability and went on our own run to establish a lead.
While we started to control the game and the scoreboard, the lead we were building never felt secure as White Mountain continued to create fast break opportunities. Switching to a low zone defense stabilized our defensive effort. As always, goalkeeper Amani Natson was stout in goal, turning away a number of doorstep attempts (14 saves). By the mid second half, the game was solidly in hand, although White Mountain battled to the end. Scoring for Dublin: Kate Barrett (1G); Stella Davis (3G); Hope Fowler (6G, 2A) Bette Imhoff (7G) and Shaneil Wynter (1G).
