The girls' lacrosse team played and defeated our biggest rival in the RVAL league today. We started strong, playing our most complete offensive game of the year. More importantly, the girls discovered what they can become, showing a level of faith and confidence in each other that propelled them to wide open offensive opportunities. The work they have been doing in practice showed fully on the field today.
Up 10-5 at the half, and with a number of less experienced players cycling into the game, it would have been easy to allow SBS to narrow the lead in the second half. Instead, the team played better team defense in the second half, allowing only one goal after half time.
Seven players contributed to the scoring for Dublin: Adunni Abrams (1G); Stella Davis (2G, 1A); Hope Fowler (3G; 2A); Sabrina Hayden (2G, 2A); Bette Imhoff (7g, 2A); Fiona Johnson (1G); and Brianna Moore (1A). Amani Natson was again outstanding in goal, registering 13 saves.
