A short squad (only two substitutes) played the Holderness School varsity lacrosse team on Saturday. With a number of players off to other commitments, several brand new players saw extensive playing time against one of the Lakes Region lacrosse powers. Despite the score, the girls played very well. In-game injuries, players playing out of position and exhaustion took a toll, but the girls played hard throughout the contest.
Dublin's scoring was led by Sabrina Hayden with 2 goals - Sydney Clarke and Bette Imhoff each contributed a goal. Amani Natson played tough in goal against a flurry of Holderness shots. Freshmen Tatiyana Dunkers and Emma Williams played well in their first real game action. The team learned a lot from the game and looks forward to applying it to Wednesday's game against Northfield Mount Hermon.
