The Dublin girls' varsity teamdropped a heart-breaker in the RVAL finals against Stoneleigh Burnham School. The Dublin girls seemed to have been affected by some early game jitters and allowed SBS to jump out to an early lead. Junior, Sabrina Hayden, again jump-started the Dublin offense. Dublin worked together as a team, looking for open shots and spread out offensive looks. It was Dublin's strong defense that kept them in the game, and the girls went into halftime only 6 points down.
The Dublin girls came out in the second half fired up and looking to make a run. They managed to pull to within one point but were not able to turn the corner and take the lead. With just minutes left in the game sophomores Bette Imhoff and Stella Davis made key threes to pull to within four points but ran out of time at the end.
The Dublin team would like to congratulate the Stoneleigh Burnham School Owls on the win. Most importantly we would like to thank all our friends and family for the support they showed us throughout the game!
