Ski Camp Day 2.

We started the day with a big breakfast before heading out toward Albany, VT on an over-distance ski. Coach Weber took the rookies, Ethan, Theresa and John, to Craftsbury Common to teach them how to roller ski on flat terrain. I worked with our intermediate skiers and Coach Maddock took the experienced skiers on a long ski.

The skiers were tired after a long double pole ski back from Albany. We are working on upper body strength and we could tell the athletes were tired from last night's strength session.

After a nice lunch we joined the Craftsbury junior team for a 6km hill climb time trial. While our kids were tired they skied well and looked strong at high intensity. Craftsbury has some of the top girls in the nation so it was a good test for us. Thank you to their coaches for including us! After skiing we had another delicious dinner before heading to the gym for yoga with Coach Maddock. The session really loosened us up and we were ready for a massive game of Apples to Apples. Now to bed to rest for a dawn run.
