Today's game against White Mountain School was a tough one. We started the game incredibly strong with a goal from senior, Ben Simon, in the first 10 minutes from a slick pass by Jay followed by a header from Jay about 10 minutes later. By the end of the first half Dublin was up by one, with a goal going in after a defensive formation error left the near post exposed.
The second half began strong with many close shots on goal, but nothing getting to the back of the net. Several shots by Fab, Quinn, and Ben Simon were breathtakingly close. White Mountain came back strong, scoring twice about 20 minutes into the second half from breakaways that beat our midfield and defensive line. Bringing them up by one. In the last 5-10 minutes, despite many valiant attempts on goal, Dublin was never able to have the scoring completion we had in the first half.
It was a tight game and Dublin played exceptionally well given that every player had a few minutes on the field for the last game of the season.
