Dublin jumped out to a commanding lead against a spirited Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School team. Most of the game was spent on Paulo Freire's side of the field due to strong offensive performances by Joey Hynes (Dover, MA), Fab Joseph (Easton, PA), Quinn Wilson (Dublin, NH), and Benjamin Simon (New York, NY). Joey led the team in scoring earning a hat trick. Jaydon “Jay” Belliveau-Ryan (Peterborough, NH) scored twice while playing a center back.
Timmy Stone (Concord, MA) made his starting debut as an 8 and did a wonderful job helping our midfield to control the pace of the game. Thanks to a unified defensive line of Geoff Erickson (Concord, NH), Jay, Jacob Horowitz (Bethesda, MD)and Idriss Traore (New York, NY), Paulo had very few shots on goal. With the game well in hand, Paulo converted several shots into goals late in the second half as we transitioned more of our players onto the field to give them extended playing experience.
