Coming off of two straight victories, Dublin was geared up to host perennial powerhouse Brewster Academy on Saturday. Brewster's Varsity comprises two teams: the "Prep" team is the two-time defending national prep school champion; Dublin played host to the "Varsity" team. Reputations aside, Dublin leapt out to a 9-0 lead, playing with great intensity and confidence on both ends of the floor. Brewster stormed back, however, on the strength of four first-half three-pointers from Sam Kiley, who finished with 31 points on the day. Falling behind by double-digits late in the first half, the Wildcats could not regain their early momentum, going cold offensively and falling by a final score of 68-39. Seb McLinden '16 led the home team with 16 points, 5 deflections, and 2 assists. Hunter Bachman '16 added 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocked shots.
Dublin (4-6, 4-0 RVAL) hosts conference rival Eagle Hill School on Wednesday, January 27, at 4:30 p.m.
