George Henry Werowinski is looking to build on his breakout 2015 winter and follow up on his qualification for the U16 Championships in Maine. Another member of the Dublin School Endurance Team, he has been training consistently since returning from the USRowing National Championships in Florida in June.
We are working together to build up his endurance base after an intense year of running, skiing and rowing. GH is using a heart rate monitor to help him stay in the Level II training zone so that he can work on his technique and train his muscles to burn oxygen for endurance. Just this week we have started to add more intense interval work in the Level III-V zones.
GH also attended the Cambridge Sports Union camp in July. We have established a working partnership with CSU which I will discuss in more detail soon. I am excited to see GH's commitment to his training pay off during his junior year!
