The Dublin girls' varsity basketball team dropped its season opener against Stanstead College 35-50. Despite a strong offensive effort from sophomore, Bette Imhoff, and junior, Sabrina Hayden, with 13 and 12 points respectively, the wildcats were outgunned and outmanned. Dublin's strong zone defense allowed the girls to take the lead toward the end of the first half, but Stanstead managed to find the zone's weaknesses, taking the lead into the half and never looked back. The combined rebounding efforts of sophomore, Clare Fowler, and senior, Sierra Riley helped keep Dublin in the game. The coaches commend the team on their effort of the season and are looking forward to a great season.
