The Dublin School mountain biking team competed in the Lakes Region Interscholastic Mountain Biking League's championship race on Saturday at Proctor Academy. It was a fun course, and the team's hard work and training throughout the season paid off for Warren Umbach, who placed 1st in the boys C class race. Sita Moses and Abby Ingram both had top 10 finishes in the girls C race, with Sita placing 6th and Abby placing 8th. Emil Hristache had his best finish of the year, placing 5th in the B class race with Andrew Johnston blowing a rear tire and running his bike in for an 8th place finish in the boys B class race. Team Captain Chris Brodie had a 16th place finish in the boys A class race, with Sean Brown right behind with 17th.
Of the 22 schools that participated in the racing series this year, the Wildcats ended their season in 4th place, and Sita Moses had the 2nd highest point total for freshman girls and Abby Ingram had the 3rd highest point total for freshman girls, exhibiting a promising future for the girls mountain biking team.
Overall, a great end to a great season!
