“It was fabulous. It was so fun. But excuse me –I need to go sleep for 12 hours,” was a common response from many of the Dublin School Reach the Beach participants. For the second year in a row, Dublin assembled two teams of brave students, faculty, and staff to run over 400 miles across the state of New Hampshire in under 36 hours. The relay-styled race is popular across the nation and last year students Baxter and Harrison Glaude were the youngest participants in the entire event. Phoebe Knox (2014), Eric Nemitz (Dean of Students), Holly Macy (College Counseling), Rodrigo Villaamil (History Chair) and Rich Connell (Sailing and Crew) ran the race for their second year in a row. Peter Dunphy (2014) ran a total of 20 miles with less than 24 hours notice that he would need to participate due to a last minute substitution. Everyone who participated showed a lot of “Truth and Courage” and made Dublin proud. Congratulations!
