We had our first of seven planned residential life workshops last week and they all went extremely well. The faculty has invested significant time in creating grade-level specific curricula for each class while avoiding cookie-cutter or canned programs that are pitched to schools almost daily. At Dublin we like to study best practices while developing programs that meet the needs of our individual students and the larger community. On the first day of our programming, freshmen talked about what it means to be different and how to embrace the diversity of the community. Seniors watched skits of each other going through the college interview process before starting practice interviews. I look forward to seeing what Dean of Students Eric Nemitz and the rest of the faculty will develop for our next day of programming.
