I just swung by the wood shop and witnessed the Business Club (started by Mark Porter and Lukas Barth) canning maple syrup that they had boiled down over the last few weeks. The club, under the leadership of Dylan Pierpont and Jen Whitesel, has decided to use the maple syrup operation as a real world learning experience to learn about product costs, packaging, marketing, distributing and pricing. Here I have included a picture of the new maple bottle that Lukas helped design and a picture of Dylan, Lukas, and Alex Rogoff after their marathon canning session. I hear that you can buy their syrup at the Dublin General Store, in the Admission Office, and hopefully online soon. A special thank you to Brooks Johnson who has done the lion's share of work getting the syrup to this point!
