I raced in my first ever roller ski race on Sunday. As I was careening downhill at almost thirty miles an hour on two foot long skis with two inch diameter wheels I asked myself what in the world I was doing.
Over the last three years I have been continually inspired by our faculty to do things artistically and intellectually that were outside of my typical comfort zone. This fall I have been inspired by some impressive athletic feats by our faculty and figured I better get in shape or I will be left behind! Bill Farrell has expressed his desire to build an endurance culture at Dublin School and so there I was chasing him through the bucolic neighborhoods of North Andover, Massachusetts with a rather large smile on my face.
