Dublin School is beginning an exciting new chapter with Sam Bicknell as our next Head of School, who will officially take on the role beginning July 1, 2026. We welcome all members of the Dublin community to stay connected and involved.
To ensure a thoughtful and comprehensive search, Dublin School engaged Resource Group 175 (RG175), a distinguished consulting firm known for its leadership placement work with schools across the country and around the world. They were also the consulting firm that brought us Brad Bates, seventeen years ago. Leading the search are seasoned consultants Molly King and John Green, whose extensive experience in independent school leadership guided us toward outstanding candidate pool.
Timeline:
April 2025
- Search Committee is established.
- Consulting firm is announced.
May 2025
- Consulting firm visit to campus. (May 5 & 6)
- Community survey released.
June 2025
- Position Statement is published.
August 2025
- Applications Due (Aug. 8)
September/October 2025
- Finalists visit Dublin School.
October/November 2025
- New Head of School is announced.
November 2025 - June 2026
- Head of School transition period.
July 2026
- New Head of School begins.
Search Committee
Through the spring and into the fall, the consultants and search committee engaged all groups in the Dublin community, including faculty and staff, students, parents, and alumni for input and to ensure our next head of school will continue a legacy of strong and visionary leadership.
The search committee represents the broad diversity of the Dublin community, including alumni, current and past parents, those experienced with the search process, and representation from the school’s faculty and staff. The members are deeply devoted to Dublin School and their mission to find the next head of school. We are in great hands with this talented and dedicated group that exemplifies Truth and Courage.
