Alumni on Campus

We love having our Alumni come back to campus!

Otto Vogel, class of 2020, came to campus for a visit this week. After receiving his Bachelor of Music degree in Voice and Opera from Northwestern University, Otto decided to stay in Chicago, Illinois.

He recently directed and conducted a production of William Finn’s Falsettos at Chicago’s Historic Court Theater in which he was nominated for a Jeff’s Award for Music Direction. The Joseph Jefferson Award, or Jeff's Award, celebrates excellence in Chicago area theater.

While on campus, Otto visited a Vocal Music class led by our Director of Music, Zach Redler. He shared how meaningful it was to return to the space where he holds so many fond memories of music production and creation. Otto reflected on the time spent collaborating with peers, experimenting with new sounds, and developing his passion for music within these very walls.

We were thrilled to welcome Otto back to campus and look forward to more alumni visits that celebrate the legacy and continued growth of our community.
