5. Pension Protection Act - On Dec. 17, President Barack Obama signed H.R. 4853 (pdf) into law, a tax bill that temporarily extends the federal estate tax and IRA charitable rollover through December 2011. The IRA charitable rollover allows taxpayers starting at age 70 ½ to direct up to $100,000 per year from their individual retirement accounts (IRAs) to eligible charities without counting the distributions as income for tax purposes.

The benefits of this type of gift are twofold:  1) You can avoid paying income tax on the unwanted minimum distributions, and 2) you can use the funds to help support our mission and witness the benefits of your generosity.
The director of development is available to assist you if you would like to make this kind of gift. Please contact Erika L. Rogers, Director of Development and Alumni Affairs at 603-563-1230  or erogers@dublinschool.org

6. Volunteer - The Development Office of Dublin School has a variety of volunteer opportunities including the annual phonathon, where parents and alumni will reconnect with old friends and classmates to help reach our Annual Fund goal each year. Come join the fun for the day or just an hour, contact the Development Office at 603-563-1232 for additional information and other volunteer opportunities.
