For an update on Dublin School's snowmaking system please go to the Nordic Team Blog:
The snowmaking system is located in the middle of the School's campus and is not part of the Dublin School Nordic Center. The system is designed to support the school's Nordic and Alpine teams by covering the Norm Wight ski slope and a 1 kilometer loop consisting of the School's Memorial Field and the ski slope. Dublin School skiers will have priority access to the loop, followed by the new Dublin XC Club http://dublinxc.com. Dublin XC and Dublin School have partnered with the Cambridge Sports Union, which will also have access to the loop. During off peak times of use we will do our best to open the loop to the public. From time to time we will use the loop for our Tuesday Head Lamp Hustle races.
We will resume snowmaking operations once the cold weather returns. We will post updates here.
