Thanks to our friends at Yankee Publishing, the Dublin Selectmen and local Jim Rodrigues, we are expanding our public access grooming from the top of Beech Hill into town, terminating at Yankee Field above the Dublin General Store. I know our students will be excited to ski to the Store for some snacks! Two years ago Dublin School purchased a twenty acre parcel below our lower soccer field and we have since turned it into a meadow for recreation and possible future solar array (on just two of the acres). Jim Rodrigues cut two great trails on the Yankee land below our property but the town owns a long skinny parcel between our two trail systems. Jamie Trowbridge and I met with the selectman to ask for permission to build a small trail across the town property and they were very helpful in offering their support. Turns out the property was donated to the town for recreational purposes.

The new trails add much needed low angle trails to our system and give hard core skiers the opportunity to ski from the bottom of the system (around 1100 ft in elevation) up to 1800 ft. at the top of the Dublin Nordic Center system. We thank Jim Rodriguez for cutting and maintaining these  trails and we look forward to taking good care of them in the future. A big thank you to Jim, Jamie and the town of Dublin! See you on the trails soon.
