Dublin School
Arts Department Philosophy
Art Studio

We believe it is the role of the Arts Department to awaken the imagination and stretch the creative muscles of each student, all of whom pass through the Arts Department. We believe art is the result of discipline, repetition, research, experience, perseverance, and attainment of skills. Natural talent, is, of course, sought out and nurtured at Dublin School.

Students are required to earn two credits in the arts, choosing from a full array of classes in music, fine arts, dance, film and theater. In addition, students at Dublin are provided numerous opportunities to perform and/or display their creative achievements. These include chorus, rock band, open mics, dancer performances for Parents Weekend and Mayfair, dramas and musical comedies. Students can participate in art, music, and dance competitions, and in many off-campus events in which Dublin students perform for Monadnock Region communities in music, dance, art and drama. A typical Dublin graduate would have been involved in at least several of the opportunities mentioned above.

All Arts courses are trimester electives.
