P.J. O’Rourke will be our 75th Graduation Speaker

Noted author and satirist P.J. O’Rourke has agreed to speak at Dublin School’s June 4th graduation ceremony, which will conclude the school’s celebration of its 75th Year Anniversary. P.J. O’Rourke has authored thirteen books, including Parliament of Whores and Give War a Chance, both of which reached #1 on the  New York Times best seller list. The Atlantic Monthly Press recently released his latest critique of American politics, Don’t Vote, It Just Encourages the Bastards.

P.J. O’Rourke is a former editor-in-chief of the  National Lampoon and has written for a variety of publications such as The Atlantic Monthly, Rolling Stone, Foreign Policy, Forbes FYI, The New York Times Book Review, Automobile, The Weekly Standard, and House and Garden. In his own biography P.J. writes, “I was born in 1947 in Toledo, Ohio, into a family so normal as to be almost a statistical anomaly. My father sold cars, my mother was a housewife. There were 2.5 children.”

Dublin School is honored that P.J. has agreed to speak to our terrific Class of 2011.
