What book has made you think the most?: Irish Freedom: A History of Nationalism in Ireland, Richard English
If you could be a superhero, what would you want your superpowers to be?: I would want to be like Batman, he doesn't really have any superpowers, he just makes due with what he has and outsmarts and out-maneuvers his opponents, all in a handsome cape.
If your life had a theme song, what would it be?: My theme song would be "I know you Rider" by the Grateful Dead, specifically the line, "I wish I was a headlight on a northbound train."
What teacher has had the most impact on you? How were they special?: My mentor and advisor, Biff Sutcliffe, had the most impact on me. He is a great teacher, hard worker, and jack-of-all trades. He is patient, caring, and understanding. He garners respect by giving respect.
How would your friends describe you in 3 words?: caring, patient, funny
You are hosting a dinner party and must invite 3 famous people. Who would you choose and why?: Bobby Orr, in my mind one of the best athletes ever and a gosh darn nice guy.
Gerry Adams, a controversial Irish politician, I want to pick his brain.
Ken Burns, the best filmmaker, period.
Maybe James Taylor could come as well for some dinner music and I would most certainly invite my wife, can't have dinner with cool and interesting people without her.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play the lead role as you?: Sean Connery. If he can be 007, he can pull off my life no problem.
