The girls lacrosse team took on a talented team from The Hyde School on turf at the seacoast on Wednesday. Dublin led early, capitalizing on good offensive movement and stout defense and goaltending. Dublin held a solid lead going into the last third of the game. Midway through the second half however, Hyde made a run fueled by a questionable call that eliminated a Dublin goal and led to two quick Hyde goals. With less than a minute left, Hyde scored to tie the game at 8. Hope Fowler responded, beating the Hyde goalie, and then ran out the clock off the subsequent draw to secure the win.
Five Dublin girls scored: Stella Davis with her first Dublin goal; Bette Imhoff (4G, 1 A); Hope Fowler (1G, 2A); Sabrina Hayden (2G) and Fiona Johnson (1G). Amani Natson made 8 saves, preserving the victory.
Hannah Cheney was named Woman of the Match for her strong defensive presence
