Dublin's JV Girls prepared for their last game of the season knowing they'd be without their starting point guard and co-captain. They also knew they'd be up against one of their toughest opponents of the season, in New Hampton. With this challenge in mind, the girls took the court and played their hearts out, setting the tone for a fast-paced, bruising first half, leading by as many as five points in the opening minutes.
New Hampton kept clawing back in, with it's opportunistic transition offense. Leading scorer Seo In Cho '18 (18 points) heaved a three in at the half-time buzzer to give Dublin a three point advantage. Coming out of the intermission, Dublin didn't relent, opening up with a 10-0 run, and playing shut-down defense. In then end it was Dublin's ability to create and capitalize on scoring opportunities, to win the rebound battle, and especially, to adjust to New Hampton's offense, that won the day.
The leading rebounders were Amani Natson '18, and Katia Dermott '17. The team would like to thank the fans who came out in support. It was a great way to end the season, with everyone who was physically able getting into the game.
